The Harvesters
The Harvesters

Back Porch, Good-Time Music and Dance.

If you’re looking for the best in Back-Porch Americana, Old Time and Good Time songs and tunes, coupled with dynamic dancing, look no further. With that authentic atmosphere of the Appalachians and the sounds of the southern States intimately intertwined with red-hot instrumental integrity, The Harvesters are guaranteed to delight audiences of all musical persuasions in 2016.

First formed in 1965 and celebrating 50 years of music in 2015, The Harvesters can certainly claim to be an integral part of the British Folk scene with a wealth of experience and versatility in all manner of live venues across the UK and three continents. "Their easy rapport with audiences of all musical persuasions puts The Harvesters in a class of their own and promises a memorable performance."

Blending the strong rhythms of Mountain Music with a light flavour of Blues, adding in some Bluegrass and sprinkling in some Gospel before topping with classic songs from legendary artists and you have a musical cocktail best served cool and long.

Next add some mood. The soundscape changes effortlessly as Guitars and Banjos combine with Dobro, Slide Steel Guitar, Fiddle, Mandolin, Octave Mandola and Concertina. Or perhaps drop in some fleet-footed flatfooting to provide the rhythmic backdrop?
