"Foot Music" - Solo Flat-Footing for Sessions. We present a unique workshop, designed to provide participants with the basics of traditional Appalachian flat-footing to enable them to accompany music in sessions, on stage, social events or simply in the comfort of their own homes. If you can walk, we can teach you to flat-foot in one hour! Perfect for dancers and non-dancers alike. Promotes co-ordination and rhythm in young and old Inspires participants to tap out simple and complex steps in time with any 4/4 music from Old Time, to Folk, Pop and even Rock n' Roll! We teach the authentic mountain-style of flat-footing but also include some "lazy" steps for the less mobile! No previous experience is necessary, although we can also teach intermediate and even advanced students. This Workshop is ideal for Music Festivals, Seminars, Corporare events, Schools and Colleges and anywhere where people of any age want to broaden their rhythmic skills and fitness.
Singing and Voice Coaching Sue provides a valuable and stimulating workshop of vocal skills and technique. Beginning with simple exercises and progressing to more advanced techniques, this workshop is ideal for anyone who wants to improve their singing skills in ANY form of music. Sue can handle workshop groups or work in a one-to-one situation with pupils of any level. If you want to learn breath control and voice projection this is place to do it.
Guitar, Mandolin, Cittern, Bouzouki and Fiddle. Ian teaches absolute beginners and improvers in Folk and American Old Time playing techniques. Individual or group tuition available. No music-reading knowledge required.
Period Instruments and Music We also perform a programme of period music and songs, in authentic costume, which is both entertaining and educational. With the access firmly on accessibility we present a humorous and enlightening trip through the history of music with a wide range of musical instruments. We have presented this in schools and colleges, as a cabaret spot during corporate entertainment, and as part of our singing act in a variety of different settings. We can also assist with musical history teaching as part of the National Curriculum.
